Last weekend we participated in another beach clean-up event with over 100 other people from our town as part of the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Clean Up. We cleaned up Palmar’s long stretch of beach, classified what we found, and kicked off a larger campaign to educate the population about maintaining a clean coast line. More details on the larger project to come but I can tell you that the larger campaign we are doing with the youth foundation is thanks to a grant from Disney and Youth Service America! Above, you can see some of the youth participants taking pride in their town and in their beach.
